Principal - Financial Operations

Remote - Fort Belvoir / Telework Rotation, VA

Savantage Solutions is seeking a Principal to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in planning and executing agency resource allocations and provide support across a range of financial, budgetary, resource, and program management activities.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of Agency resource allocations.
  • Provide assistance to budget analysts in preparation of spend plans and use of the agency’s automated spend plan management tool.
  • Using established systems and databases, research and analyze unliquidated obligations, and assist procurement close-out reconciliations, including assistance to program offices.
  • Develop and maintain functionality to include defining new requirements as well as improving and maintaining existing requirements for Joint Integrated CBRN Analytic Platform (JICAP).
  • Train all new users and provide existing users additional training.
  • Provide support for training analysts on the use of financial tools that provide execution and program analysis, along with other comptroller required functions.
  • Provide Help Desk support for issues related to the Spend Plan Tool.
  • Assist in the development of enhancements, initiatives, and other financial tools for spend plans and execution.
  • Document development efforts and produce guides, job aids and other information to support the Agency’s automated spend plan management system and other financial tools (to include but not limited to DAI, and Dormant Account Review Quarterly (DAR-Q).
  • Support the Comptroller’s Integrated Process Team for business systems and develop effective means to capture and prioritize requirements, develop costs, and document efforts.
  • Provide support to Financial Managers by conducting research and analysis on budget and financial management related policies and issues.
  • Assist Financial Managers in developing senior level budget and financial management briefings.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

The candidate must have:

  • Minimum Accounting and Audit experience
  • DoD experience desired
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience

 Education and Certifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred.
  • CPA preferred

Compensation

$142,480 - $177,100 annually (based on the National Capital Region)

This salary range is based on the National Capital Region and reflects our good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic region or market conditions, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the stated range.
